Designing our own full deck of playing cards has set the stage for our comments on the anthropological aspects of human
behavior within societies. Card gaming like chess is based on heirarchial forms of government. These still exists today and
many aspects of this government are embedded in our daily existence. The need for this form of political system arose from
the need for order within a basic family unit. The logical assumption is that family units found success in alliances with other
families and combined strengths. Hence, the need for a leader to determine the groups directions arose an became defined.

This political and social system can be compared to many modern day organizations including large businesses. Company
hierarchies are similar to the governments of the past. CEOs and Presidents wield their power in boardrooms. Takeovers and
acquisitions hit our daily news media as companies jockey for power and control of their marketplace. A barrage of daily
advertisements and social media campaigns saturate our media devices as businesses announce their brand identity, sell
their goods or services, and battle for wealth and market dominance. Our golden hued face cards shimmer to reflect and
symbolize humanities pursuit of wealth as a behavior that signifies success. Each character with their rank reveals our need
to compete and climb the social and political ladder.
