2020 Notes From Artists Dennis Eavenson and Sharon Eavenson On Collage Work On Wood Panels 2003

This abstract collection of collaborative artworks contains a variety of media with elements collaged to 3/4" primed and
uncradled ply-wood panels. These pieces can consist of a variety of media including: paper, acrylic paint, oil crayon, colored
pencil, graphite pencil, canvas, glitter, sand, white glue, silk screen inks, gel mediums and more.

Each composition reveals our personal expression relating to the nature of the scientifically measurable physical universe
to the inner visual world of artists. Using personalized shapes, we compose abstract compositions that explore concepts
concerning quantum physics, gravity, time, space and matter. Our signature shapes and symbols float, shift and collide in
diverse spatial worlds. Different levels of tension and balance build and prompt emotional response from the viewer. We find
working in collage a unique way to explore the visual dynamics of line, texture, shape, color and space. Our artistic intent is
to address the viewer with ideas about universal constants like: momentum, gravity, spatial dimension and other physical
forces that provide a platform for contemplation.
