2020 Notes From Artists Dennis Eavenson And Sharon Eavenson On The Pop Botanical Photographic Works

Photography offers a perfect medium for exploring botanical forms. These pieces evolved from our interest in the repetitious
nature of plants, particularly succulents. Distinct growth patterns exist because of the basic nature of universe and the laws of
physics down to the atomic level. This aesthetic approach lets us discuss the relationships found between science, math and
theology. For us the growth patterns of all plants are reflective of the nature of our creator and by highlighting our vision we
ask other to discover these enlightening relationships.

As color studies, these artworks are meant to prompt emotional responses from our audience. Playing with and adjusting
color lets us challenge ones preconceived ideas about color in the natural world. Color has the power to shape our daily
experiences and unexpected color combinations produce a myriad of emotional responses. We ask viewers to explore their
own inner most feelings when confronted with each color palette.
