2020 Notes From The Artists Dennis Eavenson and Sharon Eavenson On Our Pictograph 1 Works

These visual artworks delve into emotional and intellectual epiphanies concerning the multitudinous directions challenging
modern mankind. They present ideas about our understanding of God, technology and our place in the universe. Some
symbols are clearly evident like the cross, emojis or stars, while other shapes are abstract and may require moments of
contemplation for the viewer to connect their emotional responses to our personalized and stylised shapes.

This pictographic style is a new direction for our artwork. It relies on strong symbolic shapes as building blocks for expressing
ideas concerning current human conditions. Creating this personalized visual language lets us engage the viewer with a
pictographic language that opens a dialogue for contemplating mankind's spiritual, physical and emotional conditions in
relation to our directions in science, politics, economies, theology and the social and cultural activities of today.

Our artistic compositions delve into the psyche of humanity revealing primal instincts and abstract concepts that define the
evolution of our human planetary behaviors. They are bold visual expressions exploring ideas about achieving an ethical
and mindful human existence with each other; as well as, other valued species inhabiting earth and perhaps the universe.
