2024 Notes From Sharon Eavenson On The Treehouse Series

Combining traditional black and white photography with double exposure darkroom developing techniques creates artistic
compost ions that impart a mystical nature experience from my early childhood years of outdoor play.. Further digital
manipulation of color lets me explore different moods and surreal atmospheres. These works are tied to intense feelings
about specific moments in time and place. In this fairy like realm anything is possible and everything is probable. I find it
interesting that emotional response to color is deeply imbedded in my subconscious from actual experiences and learned
associations. The viewer is prompted to consider their own emotional responses to these photographic places.
