2019 Notes From Artists Dennis Eavenson And Sharon Eavenson On The Crossover 1 Collection

This body of work adresses our interest in human nature and concepts about dualism, juxtaposition and direction. Our
compositions portray that crucial moment in time when one is faced with making a difficult decision.Viewers are asked to
consider the spiritual, mental and physical paths that determine their choices. Life changing decisions often create a high
level anxiety due to the uncertainty of the outcome. Our compositions use visual elements that define these forces.

The eye vacillates between the divided spaces to elicit feelings excitement and energy. Contemplation about choice making
and possibility. The eye moves back and forth between the rectangle and the circle while the mind considers the spatial
dynamics. Brushstrokes and color interplay to create mood and spatial atmospheres that vie for attention. The audience is
being asked to consider the differences and similarities of compositional elements and how this relates to us on aspiritual,
developmental or psychological level. These works prompt self questioning processes that lead to a path of self discovery
and enlightenment.
